Sony Ericsson’s Xperia 2 is their next model after the original, but the range doesn’t stop there. The next model is called the Xperia Pureness and is nothing like the previous designs. So far the Xperia range consists of touchscreen handsets that feature slide out QWERTY keypads
and run on a Windows mobile
platform. That’s not the case with the Pureness though, that is going with an unconventional yet simplistic candy bar form.
The company is marketing the device as ‘a work of art rather than technology’. The company’s designers aimed to sculpt an object of design that reflected the purity of water and a sense of calmness when not in use.
There aren’t any specs mentioned about the device, so presumably it’ll be slated as a luxury mobile. It is however due to be launched officially in November through selected retail distribution channels in key cities around the world. If you’re wondering if India will be one of those cities, we’ll have to wait and see. Stay tuned.
